ETH is now consolidating gains and might attempt to clear the $1,840 resistance.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ethereum started a fresh rally above the $1,750 zone.<\/li>\n<li>The price is trading above $1,720 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average.<\/li>\n<li>There is a connecting bullish trend line forming with support at $1,780 on the hourly chart of ETH\/USD (data feed via Kraken).<\/li>\n<li>The pair could start a fresh increase if it clears the $1,820 resistance zone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ethereum Price Gains Momentum<\/h2>\n<p>Ethereum price remained stable above the $1,650 level and started a fresh increase, like Bitcoin. ETH traded above the $1,700 and $1,720 levels. The bulls even pumped the price above the $1,750 level.<\/p>\n<p>The pair even spiked above the $1,800 zone. A high was formed at $1,8343 and the price recently started a consolidation phase. There was a drop toward the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $1,565 swing low to the $1,834 high.<\/p>\n<p>Ethereum price is now trading above $1,720 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. There is also a connecting bullish trend line forming with support at $1,780 on the hourly chart of ETH\/USD.<\/p>\n<p>On the upside, the price seems to be facing hurdles near the $1,820 level. The next key resistance is near the $1,840 level. The first major resistance is near the $1,880 level. A clear move above the $1,880 resistance might send the price toward the $1,920 resistance.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-737531\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Ethereum_ee149a.png?resize=1024%2C478\" alt=\"Ethereum Price\" width=\"1024\" height=\"478\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An upside break above the $1,920 resistance might call for more gains in the coming sessions. In the stated case, Ether could rise toward the $1,950 resistance zone or even $2,000 in the near term.<\/p>\n<h2>Are Dips Supported In ETH?<\/h2>\n<p>If Ethereum fails to clear the $1,820 resistance, it could start a fresh decline. Initial support on the downside is near the $1,780 level. The first major support sits near the $1,740 zone.<\/p>\n<p>A clear move below the $1,740 support might push the price toward the $1,700 support or the 50% Fib retracement level of the upward move from the $1,565 swing low to the $1,834 high. Any more losses might send the price toward the $1,665 support level in the near term.
